The applied microbiology necessary for effective infection prevention and control programs can be a bit confusing for health care workers. The nanobugs can help employees at all levels (and volunteers) understand the pathogens that continually or seasonally threaten our patients and communities. To insure effective assimilation and retention of the necessary information, attention in directed to one microbe a month while appropriate prevention strategies are introduced and reinforced.
There are two formats for the Nanobug-of–the-Month annual subscription.
#1 is the Print Version for newsletters, bulletin boards, paycheck inserts, etc.
Includes:
- the selected nanobug image in Jpeg format for clear color reproduction in print materials
- the nanobug “profile” for the selected microbe for clear concise information for all levels of employees
- timely ideas/draft of an article to focus attention on the featured nanobug
- an additional nanobug can be requested during the 12-month subscription period to allow subscriber to address an issue or outbreak in the subscriber’s organization or community
Annual Subscription: $175.00
#2 is the Animated Version for use on internal websites or in educational sessions
Includes:
- the 2-D animation series with holding pattern as seen on the nanobugs website in the “nanobugs menagerie”
- the nanobug “profile” for the selected microbe
- timely ideas/draft of an article to focus attention on the featured nanobug
- an additional nanobug can be requested during the 12-month subscription period to allow subscriber to address an issue or outbreak in the subscriber’s organization or community
*if the needed nanobug is not yet animated, the artwork in Jpeg format will be substituted

- Subscribers can purchase a 3-D animated video of Hepatitis A (as it appears on YouTube and the Nanobugs website) for only $20

Tattoos in Bulk Quantities
Order large quantities of the nanobugs temporary
tattoos to use as a novel incentive for promoting
compliance with healthy behaviors like hand hygiene
or getting a flu shot or as a reward for attending an
educational programs or classes. The tattoos are
non-toxic and made in the USA. We recommend that
they be applied to the inside of the forearm where
they will last for about 10 -14 days (about the time it
takes to make antibodies to the flu vaccine). Choose
from the 12 different nanobugs characters offered or
