Color on the new nanobugs coloring book!

Hey Kids - Welcome to our website!  We are the Nanobugs.  Take our name apart and you have "nano" - which means "very small" and "bugs" - which means "small living creatures".  Nanobugs are microbes, like bacteria, fungi, and viruses.  We are "morphologically correct".  Morphology means "shape". Our shape and cartoon personality can tell you something about us.  Some of us are mean and nasty, causing infections and trouble for you and your family.  But some of us are friendly and actually help you and your body to function properly.  You can see us in the Nanobugs Menagerie on the home page.   

By the way, do you know what a menagerie is? It is a collection of microbes for exhibition (kind of like a zoo).  Since we are not visible to the human eye, a microscope is needed to get a good look at us.  James, our web designer, has created a Nanobugs Menagerie where you can zoom in on one of us at a time and get to know us.  Don't worry.  We can't infect you from the menagerie.   We are cartoon microbes - not computer viruses, for heaven sakes! 

Our names are kind of unusual and difficult to pronounce so in the Nanobugs Menagerie, we have an announcer introduce each one of us.  Besides that, James has allowed each of us to tell you one sentence about ourselves.  After we have been properly introduced, you may want to read some gruesome details about each of us by clicking on "for more information".  Then you can vote for your favorite Nanobug on this page.... PLEASE?! We have our own little popularity contest going and we promise to tell you the results.
